A European Venture Capital firm specialising in growth-stage technology companies is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its central finance team. This part-time role, based in Amsterdam, involves supporting financial operations and reporting across multiple locations. Role within the Team
- Part of the centrally located finance team in Amsterdam, reporting directly to the CFO.
- Supporting financial operations across various regions.
- On-site presence required for 2-3 days a week, with some flexibility for remote work.
Primary Responsibilities
The Finance Assistant will support financial management, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain compliance. Key responsibilities include:
Portfolio Financial Management
- Maintain and update financial data for portfolio companies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial reports, including portfolio performance metrics.
- Monitor and analyse financial KPIs for portfolio companies.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to ensure timely data submission and compliance with reporting standards.
Compliance and Reporting
- Manage ESG-related data for stakeholder reporting.
- Ensure financial records comply with audit standards and regulations.
- Support tax filings and other regulatory requirements.
Company-wide Support
- Manage financial data in internal systems for accurate tracking of costs and income.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytic skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping systems and financial software.
- Proactive, organised, and an effective communicator.

Your background:

- Kinematics & Dynamics: Experience with robotic kinematics, trajectory planning, and motion control.
